Hide and Seek
Concept Development
Animation
We brought data and tracking – a typically complex and overlooked topic – to life with a captivating mini animation. Our aim was to make this rigid subject playful and engaging while boosting leads for Hide and Seek's online audits.
The context
Hide and Seek is known for helping brands future-proof their online setups through smart data and tracking solutions. But while the impact of solid tracking is undeniable, the topic itself often lacks appeal. Most marketers see it as technical, complex, and something to deal with only when problems arise. With the rising importance of privacy compliance, platform changes, and performance measurement, Hide and Seek set out to shift that perception. The challenge was clear: create a campaign asset that would make marketers care about tracking before they had to, and present it not as a chore, but as a creative advantage worth exploring.
THE INSIGHT
Having worked in the data space for over a decade, the team had seen firsthand how most content about tracking failed to engage. It was typically dry, overly technical, and hard to connect with, leaving audiences disengaged and reactive. They realized that to make data resonate, the content needed to do more than inform; it had to connect emotionally. That meant turning something abstract into something tangible, relatable, and even entertaining. By presenting tracking in a more visual and playful way, we believed we could reframe the narrative and encourage proactive engagement from marketers who usually avoided the topic altogether.
To bring this idea to life, we developed a playful animated video where data and tracking concepts were transformed into colorful, character-driven stories. Instead of relying on technical explanations, the video used personality and charm to make key ideas feel human and approachable. The animation was supported by a dedicated landing page, featuring the same characters and a step-by-step guide to optimizing tracking. Together, the campaign offered both inspiration and practical value. The results exceeded expectations; engagement rose, skip rates fell, and leads increased by 15% compared to previous efforts. More than just a performance win, the project proved that even the most technical topics can become compelling brand stories when creativity leads the way.
